Wentworth Cemetery Walking Tour – old
Tel: (03) 5027 5027    Wentworth Cemetery, Cadell Street, Wentworth

Discover some of Wentworth’s oldest residents on this self-guided discovery – Brochures are available at the Wentworth Library and Wentworth Visitor Information Centre.

Many of the district’s pioneers are buried at the Wentworth cemetery including several well know businessmen (William Gunn and John Egge).

The occupants have not always rested easily here, as the front fence and some of the graves were moved back to allow room for a road and the building of Lock 10.

During floods the cemetery was impossible to get to and funerals had to be boated in.
